Pincushions Sampler

  • $28.90
Tax included. Shipping calculated at checkout.

An embroidery sampler, that when completed, you can sew into two pincushions to keep your needles organized.

This sampler includes two panels for you to embroider by hand. Rebecca used back stitch and french knots, but you can choose your own stitches to suit your own taste. For best results, we recommend using 3 strands of embroidery floss or size 8 perle cotton in your needles. Choose your favorite colors.

This sampler makes a great gift to share with a friend. Will you stitch them together? Stitch one up and fill it with threaded needles for a friend that could really use a pick me up? Stitch them both up and keep them at the ready on your own end table? I can't wait to see what you'll make.

Please share your in-progress and finished pincushions on Instagram with hashtag #dropclothsamplers

Complete directions for sewing your embroidered panels into functional pincushions are included.

FAQ:

+ What's Included?
The sampler arrives preprinted on cotton quilting fabric, ready to stitch and includes basic instructions. You provide your own threads, needles, and hoop.

+ What size is it?
The Pin Cushion Sampler measures approximately 8" x 10"

+ Where can I find more embroidery help?
I'm so glad you asked! Check out Rebecca’s online workshop on Creativebug. Here's a link:

+ Where can I see other examples of the finished sampler?
Instagram! Check out the hashtag #dropclothsamplers for tons of beautiful examples of all our designs, stitched by people like you. I hope you'll add yours to
the mix!

+ How should I back my sampler?
For best results, I recommend backing this fabric with a second piece of fabric (cotton or linen) before placing your fabric in the hoop. You'll get the flattest,
most even stitches this way. Check out my how to for this step on creativebug or IGTV (@dropcloth)

+ What size hoops should I use? I like a size 6- but use whatever you hoop you have on hand.
